Cameron Diaz and Jason Patric are parents of a girl dying from leukemia, who decide to have a second daughter that can act as an organ donor. Abigail Breslin is the donor kid who gets tired of the endless medical treatments, and hires an attorney . . . played by Alec Baldwin . . . to medically emancipate her.
“Bruno”
Sacha Baron Cohen takes his flamboyantly gay Bruno character around the country interviewing unsuspecting people for a fictional Austrian TV station. (–After the credits, he records a charity song with Bono, Elton John, Snoop Dogg, Sting and Slash.)
“Is Anybody There?”
Michael Caine plays a widowed magician who reluctantly enters an old age home and befriends the young son of the owner.
“The Open Road”
Justin Timberlake plays a baseball player who goes on a road trip to track down his father, after his mother becomes sick. Jeff Bridges plays his dad and Mary Steenburgen is his mom.
